House Bill 745, sponsored by Representative Scott Holcomb, would allow survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to terminate a rental agreement without financial penalty when they need to relocate for safety reasons.  You can read more about HB 745 here.  The House Judiciary Committee voted in favor of House Bill 745 during the week of February 12th.

House Bill 834, sponsored by Representative Mandi Ballinger, is a very similar bill that would allow survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to terminate a rental agreement without financial penalty when they need to relocate for safety reasons.
