Parking for the event is at the First United Methodist Church of Marietta, 56 Whitlock Avenue SW, Marietta , GA 30064. Shuttles will drive guests to and from the Barnes’ home for the Celebration.

Rep. Houston (R-Nashville) has served in the Georgia General Assembly since 1997. During that time, she has been a champion for “the little guy” and a particularly good friend to consumers. In her tenure, she has helped defeat multiple attempts to re-introduce predatory lending practices in Georgia, including in the title pawn and debt settlement industries; supported Georgia Watch’s efforts to protect Georgia Power ratepayers from paying a “nuclear tariff;” called attention to EMC member recovery of refund checks; helped identify possibly unscrupulous tax preparers, and even introduced a resolution honoring our advisory board member Clark Howard. We are proud to recognize Rep. Penny Houston with our highest organizational honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award.
